Bio…

Well, if you made it this far…

I live in Philadelphia and do this music thing for fun and clout. Though I can’t say the latter has come to fruition. I studied Media Production at Temple University which I share only because, at least thus far, I’ve produced, recorded, and mixed all of my music. But I have had many awesome people contribute their time and talents to these projects!

I am mostly self-taught on the guitar. I don’t love the sound of my voice, but I sing anyway. I write songs because I don’t like to journal.
No-but-actually-for-real, I think I’m trying to capture that feeling I had in high school when I listened to a song and felt like it “got me.” No matter how I was feeling. Alive, hopeful, sad, melancholic, happy, whatever. I’m also the annoying type of person who’s always analyzing the world around me and asking questions (“what is the deal?!” - The Grinch, 2000). So I guess writing songs gives me a space to feel, think, and process life.

The reason I record the songs is because I …mostly…  enjoy the process of taking something I wrote on my acoustic guitar and arranging a ‘full’ song around it. It’s kind of like a puzzle. The arrangement is supposed to help convey the feeling captured in the lyrics and melody. Sometimes it happens the other way around. Sometimes acoustic and vocals is enough! Then I release the songs because there’s a dopamine hit when you upload things you do to the internet. No-but-actually-for-real I do love when people share that a song I made resonates with them.

I love playing live. It’s the fun part of all this! Hit me up for gigs! I’d love to open for you. While my material is fairly chill and contemplative, I have a few ‘louder’ ones and can throw in some sing-along covers. My live band is secretly called The Keystoners and is comprised of my friends Josh W (guitar), Ellie P (bass), and Josh S (drums) + some other rotating friends. They rock.

I think that’s enough for now. Peace!
